Je chante ung chant
An Archive of Late-Medieval French Lyrics

This website presents an online searchable corpus of late-medieval French lyrics, predominantly drawn from the fourteenth-century song and motet repertory, most of which have been relatively little studied by scholars, both within and outside musicology.

The Archive is currently unavailable due to a hardware failure, but the technical team are working hard to move the website to a new server; we are also taking the opportunity to update and add new content, and improve the search facilities. Please bear with us while this move takes place, and be assured that the Archive will soon be available again.
